Good advice! And thanks for recomending specific products. I get overwhelm whenever I have to choose the right product!

Some people have had success with curly hair using only rinse-out conditioner to wash instead of shampoo.

hey everybody,

i wash my hair with Weleda rose soap (totally natural, a looot of essential oils, no sulfate, or anything likely to dry hair even more), i put on a conditioner(Alverde, natural cosmetic) or deep treatement hair mask swiss-o-pair and a moouse Welle hair repair ... for extra care i make a mix of a 1/5 vegetable glycerin and 4/5 of water (very good moisture, but try not to exagerate cause your do can turn into greasy curly something)... my curls are awsome without any frizzy look whatsoeveer ... bye curly girls,

Great tips!

However, I do not entirely agree with the "low sudding" shampoo regime.

I have waist length thick spiral curly hair from mixed parentage father white Italian & mother black Dutch/French.

I use a SLES, ALES, SLS free shampoo bar that contains only 4 ingredients (Babassu, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Mango Butter and Shea Butter) I purchased it from anitagrant.com and it does have a lot of lather but it does not strip my hair and I don't even need a conditioner after I shampoo.

I have tried Lush shampoo bars and they are peppered with SLES and synthetic stuff. It made my curly hair feel like straw and created such a frizz. I would like to try Deva Curls & Chargrin Valley shampoo too as I have heard loads of rave reviews about them.

Basically, all I am trying to say is lather rich shampoos ARE NOT all created equally and ARE curly girl friendly.

At least the handmade ones are - in my opinion.
