I havn’t had too much experience with mascara but i’ve certainly had my mishaps with the gooey black stuff. I ran track a little while back and i had a track meet one day. I had to get up pretty early so i didn’t take off my makeup from the day before. The morning of the meet it was blizzarding outside and my friend and i had to walk about a mile from our dorm to the indoor track stadium. throughout the meet people kept giving me this weird looks and about halfway through the meet, my friend told me i had mascara under my eyes. I really didn’t think anything of it becuase the mascara i used at that time tended to smudge a bit but i went to the bathroom to clean it up. When i looked in the mirror, i was complete shocked. The snow had actually washed the mascara onto my skin but The mascara had not smudged directly under my eyes, it had left a semi circle strip of black 2 cm under my eyes. Ironically the skin between the bottom of my eye and the black mascara strip was not black at all. My coach had talked to me that and said absolutely nothing, i was completely mortified that a couple hundred people had seen me look like a complete idiot. Since then, i have never worn mascara that was not water proof. Talk about lesson learned

    It was my 11th christmas
My family was going to get our pictures taken for our annual holiday photo. I thought it would be a good time to try out mascara for the first time (since I was too chicken to do it before school) I applied it in the bathroom right before the pictures were taken, but when i came out, my lashes still weren’t dry, we had this fake snow set up, and when they turned on the fake winter breeze, the “snow” stuck to my wet lashes. :O In the picture, they came out white… just like Santa’s beard! :D

A year or so back I got caught outside in what was a small rainshower.I was interviewing at a private school that I really wanted my son to attend. It really was not a downpour and not near enough water for a bathrooom check before my trip inside. It was a freak bit of rain that came on a sunny afternoon. Well I guess you can see where this is going. I toured the school with the male headmaster meeting teachers and staff. It was only when I got in the car did I look in the mirror and see Alice Cooper staring back at me !!!! I could not believe not one person said a word !!

I was on my way to a very important interview and in my excitement forgot to put on mascara. It was with a beauty brand and I thought there is NO way I can show up without my eyes fluttery and unforgettable! I buzzed into the drugstore on my way and was intrigued by this new mascara. This brand had a comb to apply the mascara which I had never worked with, but I thought to myself, “Can’t be that hard, right?” I’m a seasoned pro. As I started to apply the mascara it was spider legs everywhere! No problem, I’ll just use the comb to clear the clumps…oh my gosh it just kept getting thicker…I tried to wipe the applicator and tried again. This mascara is a nightmare! I had my interview, but my eyes were not fluttery and unforgettable…they were Tammy Faye Baker! Needless to say I got the job, but it certainly wasn’t because of my pro use of mascara…although I think the story helped me get that job!
